Maddy is a passionate advocate for outstanding care at the end of life. In her talk she shares a personal story about end of life care for her father with an emphasis on the importance of planning ahead to get it right. Maddy is a passionate advocate for outstanding care at the end of life. A consultant nurse in palliative medicine and the clinical lead for end of life care here in Winchester for Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust she has spent much of the last 5 years fundraising and raising awareness for an adult hospice in Winchester. The hospice has now cared for over 1000 inpatients and many more in the community with more service developments to come. She has visited Ghana to teach, support clinics and explore end of life care and is delighted to have become a visiting lecturer at the University of Winchester. She will be sharing a personal story of end of life care for her father with an emphasis on the importance of planning ahead to get it right.
